Busy Weekend for Lower Providence Firefighters

Lower Providence Firefighters have been active the past few days.

On Friday December 11th Firefighters were called into service just before 2am for a Commercial Fire in Norristown.

The afternoon saw firefighters responded to Eagleville Hospital for an automatic fire alarm around 3:30pm, a second building fire response this time in East Norriton Township at 5pm followed by an Odor of Gas Outside in the Collegeville Section of the Township around 7:30pm with a second automatic fire alarm activation on Marilyn Ave just before midnight wrapping up an eventful Friday.

Saturday saw Firefighters team up to bring some normalcy and joy to the community with a modified Santa visit covering the township most of Saturday, this included a brief search for two excited puppies. Saturday evening saw Tower 53 dispatched to Norristown for the dwelling fire.

Sunday brought more of the same for Lower Providence Firefighters. Just before 11am Tower 53 was dispatched to Collegeville Boro for a Dwelling Fire. 12:30 pm saw Tower 53 dispatched to Upper Gwynedd for a 2nd Alarm Apartment Fire. Units were then alerted to the Collegeville Section of the Township for a small brush fire that was quickly contained.

Today as the weather begins to change saw firefighters alerted with

Lower Providence EMS - Medic 322

to S.Park Ave for a vehicle collision with entrapment. Firefighters assisted in removing a driver from the vehicle with EMS for transport to a local trauma center.
